Sunday started off our week busy! Jackson Ridge Easter Egg Hunt was enjoyed by our community, residents, and staff. A special shoutout to our resident Maggie S., who filled so many eggs I’m sure she’s still dreaming about them! We are blessed to have such a wonderful team here who came together with our residents and our community and made memories. Also, a thank you to Megan Coyle who always organizes our events, making them memorable and fun!

Rolling into Monday, we started with a little pampering. The ladies enjoyed manicures. Of course, we couldn’t forget it’s a double bingo day! We had our afternoon bingo followed by the local Radio Bingo from KMAQ. You can never have too much Bingo, which is why we still have radio cards for pick up so anyone can play!

On Tuesday morning, we worked up a sweat with some morning exercises! Got us moving around and off to a good start. Winding down toward the end of the day with some crafts, our residents painted cute little Easter bunny’s.

Back at it again Wednesday with those morning exercises! To further the excitement, it was another double bingo day! Thanks to our friends at KMAQ we’ve been able to offer our residents bingo almost every day.

Thursday came in calmer with some morning worship; nothing beats getting to spend quality time together and singing our hearts out! In the afternoon we planted marigolds. The residents are so excited to see them grow into beautiful flowers!

On Friday morning, we exercised listening to the oldies. We had such a fun morning exercising and visiting. Residents colored eggs in the afternoon, followed by Bingo!

On Saturday, we enjoyed a little time under the pergola; visiting and soaking up the sun is always a win! What a busy week we had! We had a great week being together with fun activities and great friends. The residents send their love; we hope to see you all soon. Be safe; on to next week’s adventures!

Easter joy and springtime smiles at Clover Ridge Place

Easter greetings and so much more from all of us at Clover Ridge Place Senior Living!

Our week began dressed in our Easter best, celebrating alongside family and friends. What a beautiful way to welcome the season — surrounded by laughter, love, and a whole lot of springtime cheer.

On Monday, we were blessed to have Wendy Scott from the Methodist Church join us for communion. That meaningful time quickly turned into a delightful storytelling session filled with laughter and shared memories — proof that a little laughter truly is good for the soul! The joyful spirit carried right into a thoughtful discussion with our Director, Jennifer Ingle, on “Where do I find joy?” The answer? Joy is wherever you choose to find it — sometimes it just takes a little extra searching.

Our Community Coffee was buzzing with excitement as we hosted a meet-and-greet for our new health care coordinator Lorelei McMahon, RN. Residents enjoyed learning about her roots in the DeWitt area, her farm upbringing, and her family. We’re so happy to welcome Lorelei to our community!

The morning also sparked a lively conversation: “What did you want to be when you grew up—and did you become it?” From teachers and nurses to farmers and devoted spouses, the stories shared were inspiring. And to top it off, Lavonne P. treated us to a song from her college dorm days; what a special moment! If you haven’t joined us for Community Coffee Chat yet, consider this your invitation.

Manicure day brought plenty of smiles as well. While residents patiently waited for their turn with our “rookie” nail technician (Sally!), stories flowed freely — from first-time manicures in their 80s to memories of how things were made “back in the day.” It was a perfect mix of pampering and reminiscing.

Our weekly bus trip took us on a scenic ride to Bellevue, where we kept a close eye on field progress, river levels, and, of course, who had the newest farm equipment. The sweet highlight? A well-deserved ice cream stop!

Looking ahead, be sure to mark your calendars for our Family & Friends Bingo Night on Thursday, April 16. Bingo kicks off at 6:15 p.m. in the Great Room, and everyone is welcome to join the fun. This month’s event is proudly sponsored by the Jackson County Senior Center; we hope to see you there!

Respectfully submitted, Sally Davies, sales coordinator, Clover Ridge Place
